Favorite Tv Show 2009
Misfits is a new tv show that has just recently come out on our screens, it takes its viewers on a journey with five outsiders on community service who get struck by a flash storm and lumbered with special powers. "Hard as nails Kelly (Lauren Socha) can suddenly hear people’s thoughts, shamed sporting hero Curtis (Nathan Stewart Jarrett) discovers he has the ability to turn back time when he regrets something, and party girl Alisha (Antonia Thomas) can send people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin. Even painfully shy Simon (Iwan Rheon) can make himself invisible when he feels he’s being ignored, which makes it all the more hard to swallow for smart aleck Nathan (Robert Sheehan), who seems to have been unaffected, much to his dismay".
Each character is very different yet some of them all share the same attitude problems. I've found the 1st series surprisingly enjoyable as you get to know each character through each episode you start to realize the horrible situations they have all been put through. Unfortunately the 1st series is quite short leaving all the viewers on a small edge itching to jump off and find out what's going to happen in series two, which still has not been stated when it is hitting our boxes again.
Nathan is by far my favorite character purely because he is a bastard that always has an answer to everything. he constantly annoys all the other characters with his abusive language and attitude. In the image below we can see fill in flash has been used as the main light source making Nathan stand out from the ambient light almost as if he wasn't there.
"With an answer for everything, sarcastic wit, and a fondness for pushing things too far; your first impression of Nathan could be that he's massively irritating, which is something he seems to revel in. So when Nathan’s lumbered with this bunch of extremities, he’s got so much to play with".
